Mixed media on paper. Signed and dated lower right. Fun and ironic presentation of the menu for the 1960 New Year's Eve party, by the famous Russian set designer, painter, and illustrator Nicola Benois, who from 1935 was the chief set designer at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Attached to the work is a photo of a thank-you note that accompanied the work, for the friend with whom the artist shared the party. Framed work. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
