Bring a touch of old-world charm to your home with this antique Louis XIII style stool. Made in France circa 1870, the rectangular seat is upholstered with vibrant floral needlepoint in shades of rose, yellow, and green set against a rich blue background, secured with brass nailhead trim. The frame is fashioned from solid walnut and features beautifully hand-carved scroll legs with acanthus leaf motifs, connected by an elegant X-form stretcher for strength and balance.
This charming stool is sturdy and comfortable, with a warm walnut patina that enhances its antique character. The floral upholstery adds a bold pop of color, making it an excellent accent piece for a bedroom, hallway, or living space. In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, this 19th-century French stool is ready to be enjoyed for generations.
