The artwork is signed lower left and dated 8-4-94, measuring 15.75" high, 17.25" wide, and 1.25" deep. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Telles was a distinguished painter and illustrator who trained in art restoration at the Vatican Pinacoteca and studied under leading Brazilian artists. His diplomatic career enriched his cultural perspective, influencing his extensive travels and inspiring much of his artistic output. His work has been widely exhibited and auctioned internationally.
