Painting "Two Eggs and One Soft-Boiled Egg," oil on cardboard, signed Leon Nancey (1893-1972), France
This oil painting on cardboard explores an original subject: eggs.
In the foreground, the wide folds of a tablecloth reveal, in the center of the painting, a plate containing two eggs and an egg cup.
The colors are presented in a gradient of grays, with a few touches of beige. The egg cup and the plate are highlighted in blue, thus enhancing the milky color of the eggs.
The artist, Nancey, brings his moving touch to the execution of this work. This highly decorative and remarkably executed painting will find a place in a modern or classic interior.
