- This platter was originally hung using a metal plate hook, which chipped off some of the enamel at the edges, … moreThis platter was originally hung using a metal plate hook, which chipped off some of the enamel at the edges, revealing the copper underneath the enamel. The edges have been repaired so that the copper does not show, with close color matching, but the repairs can be seen if looked for. Also, the plate is bent in the lower half, but this has not been fixed to avoid further damage to the enamel. The bend is not that noticeable as the plate has a natural curvature in its original design. less
