Base- Hand-carved wood, heavily weathered with original blackened remnants, dramatic age cracks, and carved foliate motifs. An authentic architectural salvage element from the 1600s.


Top - brass zodiac armillary sphere by Frederick Cooper, decorated with astrological symbols and numerals, arrow gnomon, and patinated surface.


Height: Approx. 37” (94 cm) tall overall.

Sphere diameter: Approx. 12” (41 cm). Arrow 17”


Condition: Base shows significant age-related wear, large splits, and surface loss consistent with 17th c. wood. Armillary sphere has oxidation, patina, and wear. Very stable overall, displays beautifully as a statement piece.
