Brilliantly cut designs include stars, cross-hatching, and palms. One pattern flows into another to create a dazzling example of crystal cutting artistry. The heavy weight in portion to the size of the compote along with the bell like ring, when tapped with your finger, emphasis the period cut of circa 1890. These pieces were purchased by my mother from an elderly neighbor who came from a highly respected family. The compotes dishes are in excellent condition as they were always in a china cabinet and never used. I hope they find a home where they are appreciated and used. I am including a third compote at no charge as it has chips on the base which, I believe, could be repaired. See less
