This vintage Turkmen runner rug is a rare hand-knotted piece featuring a series of large octagonal “gul” medallions framed by intricate borders and subtle tribal floral motifs. Crafted with natural wool in warm faded brown, dark chocolate, and hints of copper, this rug showcases the enduring elegance of traditional Turkmen weaving.
Its long runner shape makes it ideal for hallways, narrow spaces, or as a decorative accent in modern rustic homes. The soft, low wool pile and slightly timeworn patina give it a beautiful vintage feel, while the dense knotting ensures long-lasting quality.
The rug shows some color variation and age-related wear, including minor areas of fade and abrash that add to its antique character. Professionally cleaned and ready to style.
