Their shape suggests that they were intended for serving carviar, but could be used for serving salad or other foods as mother-of-pearl (nacre) is remarkably strong. They're iridescent and, given the right lighting, reflect a beautiful rainbow of colors. There are no maker's marks, so age and country of origin are estimates. Spoon length is 10" long and 2.75" wide. Fork is approximately 9.75" long and 2.5" wide. See less
