The firm exhibited internationally multiple times in the late 19th and early 20th Century and was purchased by Garrard & Co. Ltd. in 1952.

The lid with detailed guilloche enameling depicting a stylized wave or starburst emanating from behind an inverted T-shaped design (with resemblance to a sunrise over an Art Deco skyscraper).

Gilt to the interior with two spring bands to hold cigarettes.

Fully hallmarked to the interior and also with a maker's mark to the interior rim.

Simply a wonderful English Art Deco cigarette case!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.

Condition Details:
The spring straps in the interior have points of bending. There are small dents to one of the corners by the hinges, some scuffing to the engine turned back, and some persistent tarnish to the interior. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
