We don't even know where to start of how awesome this table is! Not only is it beautiful, it is beautifully made. There is no reason why someone in a small space can't have it all with a well made and interesting piece of furniture and this one ticks all the boxes with its folding top. This is the type of furniture that takes you from your first apartment to that beloved piece that you glance at fondly with all the memories and that will be passed down. Yeah, we really love it too!

Use it as a sofa table or slide the top over (one person can operate it) and open the table to enjoy a small dining table enough for 6 people.

The walnut has a wonderful patina and the the carving details are in a different lighter wood that just adds to what this lovely table offers in style and functionality.

As you can see in the last photo is the patent for the table, so you understand how it operates.

This table is in good condition and wear is consistent with age and use.

WALDORF ASTORIA NYC
The Waldorf Astoria opened it doors in 1931. Since then every living president has stayed in this hotel. Rock stars, movie stars, royalty, and everyone else in the jet set lifestyle has stayed within those famous walls. When the hotel was originally built, it was the tallest hotel in the world and boasted 1417 rooms. The largest suite in the hotel was lived in by Cole Porter. Once Cole Porter passed away Nancy and Frank Sinatra lived there. None other than The Who was banned for life for their ruckus behaviour, but reinstated once the Waldorf was hosting the Rock N Roll hall of fame induction ceremony and The Who was being inducted. Talk about a thumbing of the nose!

* The Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York is closed now and under new ownership. Once these items sell we cannot get more as there are none, so this is a chance to own a special piece from a special place.
