These … Read more A pair of painted wood grotto Italian side-chairs with upholstered seats, from the mid/later part of the 20th century. These vintage accent chairs, circa 1970's, each feature a clam shell carved backs (typical of grotto style), rounded and upholstered seats, and presented upon saber legs. The wood has a glossy black finish, with white piping accents about the outer edges of the clamshell, and outlining the chair-seat rail. These vintage Italian grotto chairs will add a nice pop of contrasting color and nautical flair within an intimate seating arrangement, or as accent pieces in a room. See less
