Throughout his long career, he left his mark on furniture, tableware, architecture, and interior decoration. One of his most famous works is the 699 chair designed for Cassina, and its replacement name "Superleggera," Italian for Ultralight, given its feathery weight of just 1700 grams per chair. The Superleggera is one of the most beloved chairs of all time.
