A fine pair of 18th-century Neoclassical engravings depicting the Victoria Dacica Traiani (Dacian Victory of Trajan). These works are based on scenes from Trajan’s Column in Rome, which commemorates Emperor Trajan’s victories in the Dacian Wars (101–106 AD).
The engravings capture the intensity of Roman battle scenes and the grandeur of imperial triumphs, rendered with strong linework and classical detail. Each is mounted in a giltwood Neoclassical-style frame with cream matting.
