Beautiful Art Nouveau bench, made in Germany or Austria around 1900.
Carved poppies.
Meticulously restored.
The wood is likely European acacia. Its excellent stability ensures that the carvings retain their shape and detail over time.
The wood is stained black and finished with shellac, giving a light satin sheen.
