This early example dates to … Read more Rare 18th century Meissen porcelain handled dish, painted in the iconic Zwiebelmuster (Blue Onion) pattern. This early example dates to the coveted dot-mark period (c.1765–1774) and is marked with underglaze blue crossed swords and dot, confirming first quality production with no cancellation marks.

The dish features scalloped edges, trellis-molded body, and twig-form side handles. A fine survival of Meissen’s early decorative porcelain, showcasing crisp cobalt blue hand-painting.

Condition: Good antique condition. Several visible age-related cracks at the base and underside (see photos). These are stable and typical for Meissen of this period. No restorations detected.
