A refined near-pair of antique Queen Anne Revival side chairs dating to the early 20th century, showcasing elegant proportions, hand-carved detailing, and beautifully aged original upholstery.
Each chair features a classic vase-form splat back and gracefully curved cabriole legs, accented by carved shell motifs at the knees—hallmarks of the Queen Anne tradition. The warm, richly patinated wood frame displays a depth of tone only achieved through decades of natural aging.
Notably, both chairs retain their original upholstered slip seats, exhibiting a geometric, art deco-style textile with softened color, muted tones and a fabulous roaring twenties flair.
These chairs are very slightly different in their sizing with one just slightly larger than the other, indicating that they might be his and hers.
Tapestry/needlepoint seat cushions I believe to be original from the early 1900s with an art deco influence.
