This is a treasure worth pursuit. A lacquer covered box with Chinese calligraphy and figures in scenes, inside and out. Has a hinged lid with an engraved brass lock and handle. In China they call it a memory box. Use to store documents, letters, jewelry or just about anything that is special to you. In excellent condition with period wear and patina, consistent with age and use. There is a 1 1/2” scrape on one corner and no key. No serious damage or repairs.
