A striking French Art Nouveau figural lamp, dating from the early 20th century (circa 1890–1910). The lamp features a finely modeled female muse in flowing classical drapery, holding a lyre, with naturalistic floral stems rising above her shoulders that serve as the light arms. In the style of Auguste Moreau.
The figure is cast in spelter with a warm bronze patina, mounted on a round base with a name plaque. Its curving lines, allegorical subject, and organic motifs embody the Art Nouveau style, reflecting the movement’s philosophy of merging art, nature, and function.
Comparable in design to the works of Auguste Moreau and Louis Hottot, this lamp is both a functional light and a sculptural statement piece, ideal for collectors of Art Nouveau and Belle Époque decorative arts.
