He acquired it in the 1970s with the provenance statement that this chair came from the Villa Brauner (Geweygasse 11, Hohe Warte) – and thus from the early phase of the Wiener Werkstätte.

A slight modification of this chair was also exhibited in the Wiener Werkstätte showrooms on Neustiftgasse.

The design language clearly refers to Josef Hoffmann and the Wiener Werkstätte.
This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
