This beautifully preserved textile art piece showcases two antique hand-stitched linen doilies, likely of Portuguese origin. Each doily features intricate floral appliqué embroidery in vivid hues of red, blue, yellow, and green, stitched onto a natural linen base.

The delicate scalloped designs and saturated palette are consistent with early to mid-20th century Madeira embroidery traditions. While unconfirmed, the craftsmanship and composition suggest European folk textile artistry from the 1920s–1940s.
