This vintage set of 5 spindle back dining chairs was designed by John Van Koert for Drexel's "Profile" line of furniture c. 1957. Comprised of 1 armchair and 4 armless chairs, each is constructed of a solid walnut and pecan wood frame with a spindle backrest and has an upholstered seat cushion. These chairs have been fully restored and are ready for many more years of loving use.
Measurements: 20" wide, 22" deep, 34.5" high, 18" seat height (armless); 23" wide, 23.5" deep, 35" high, 19" seat height (armchair).
Condition: The wooden chair frames have been professionally refinished in a lovely medium brown tone, which perfectly compliments the freshly reupholstered seat cushions. The seats have been given brand new high-density foam and batting, and now sport a period-correct, stain-resistant aubergine purple boucle fabric.
