Highly unusual and so much fun. A fab set of antique Anglo Indian style Decoupage wood dining chairs with patterned paper and lacquered overlay.
With this design technique, the antique chairs are not just average dining chairs but are pieces of art.
One could also call the technique Papier mache'. The chairs are old and are examples of a technique used long ago to upscale wood chairs.
The patterned paper became a hard like surface over the wood. The design is made up of small black, red and green almost Islamic looking patterns.

The seats are covered with a Sari fabric. The upholstery is newer than the chairs. Use as is or simply pop out the seats and rover with a new upholstery fabric of your choice.

Remarkably, given the age, the chairs surfaces are in very good condition. There are small areas of surface wear consistent with age. See photos.
Small chipped off paper areas here and there as shown. Some surface wear at the ends of the legs.
The upholstery is in very good condition.
