About the Artist:

Bela Sziklay (1911-1981) was a Hungarian-American artist known for his black and white prints. He is considered a master of etching and drypoint. Sziklay was known for his detailed, atmospheric cityscapes, often depicting bustling marketplaces and urban scenes. Bela was known for his Venetian scenes, and this is a fine example, with bright and crisp hand coloring.
