It has … Read more This billboard poster dates to the 1961 re-release of the 1939 Civil War epic, Gone With The Wind. It has been professionally restored, with extensive cleaning, acid neutralization, linen-backing, paper replacement, and extensive tape & other mark removal. It is now quite glorious, and very likely unique - we cannot find another example brought to market in the past 25 years.

The scale is truly impressive in person. The large image of Rhett & Scarlett is stunning; below the title is a large image of the burning of Atlanta. Wonderful, iconic artwork beautifully restored.

Included in the photos are images of the unrestored poster (it will be obvious), so that the restoration work can be seen and appreciated.

Measures 100” x 227” (8.3’ x 18.9’), with about 6” linen border on each side. This has been rolled and stored in a heavy-duty tube since it was cut from the restorer's rack and is availble for local pickup or shipping.
