The top surface displays the log's history through its annual rings and a deep, characterful crack, honestly stabilized with a hand-fitted steel pin. The body is a landscape of texture, with faceted, hand-carved marks that catch the light and invite touch. A vibrant, deep red stain saturates the wood, unifying the form while accentuating the raw topography left by the carver's tools and highlighting the natural warmth of the timber.
