This vase has a jade and gold oxidized finish two inch band with four rising phoenixes motifs on each side. The handles are downturn dragon tongues extended to vase with a Takaoka casting. The artist was handcrafted by using a 19th century Murashido technique. The technique was accomplished by dipping the vase in oil immediately after it has been fired. Then smoked with burning rice straw, which creates the signature mottled finish. See less
