Set of six midcentury Longchamp oyster plates in creamy white faience, c.1940s–1960s. Each plate is molded with six shell-shaped wells and a central sauce compartment, framed by a textured basketweave border. The result is timeless French coastal chic — the kind of piece that looks just as fabulous piled with oysters and champagne coupes as it does gracing a wall in a sun-soaked Riviera villa.
Though designed for oysters, these plates are the consummate multitaskers. Picture hors d’oeuvres and caviar at a cocktail party, crudités with a jewel-toned dip in the center, or even sorbet and sweets. The scalloped texture and glossy finish also make them striking as wall décor, adding sculptural elegance with a touch of midcentury glamour.
