Vases are painted … Read more A pair of hand painted 19th Century French Sèvres porcelain vases, with gilded bronze mounts and handles. Vases are painted with fine gilt ornamentation around the shoulders, with cherubs resting in flowers and releasing doves. One, possibly cupid, holds a bow and arrow. On the reverse, cherubs play with a drum, flowered tambourine and xylophone, surrounded with roses. Ormolu handles are cast in the shape of a rams head, with a drop loop handle cast like trailing flowers. Set in an ornately cast bronze mount. The vases are stamped with the signature Sèvres interlacing double L mark in blue on top. See less
