Industrial designer Raymond Loewy's portfolio features iconic brands; from Shell, Nabisco and Hoover logos to developing the interior design standards for NASA's Skylab space station and the blue and white livery exterior of Air Force One.
Loewy's earlier project was to create a line of modern furniture for the Mengel Co. He combined minimalism, distinctive cerused finishes, exceptional quality, durability and longevity to demonstrate his thoughtful design aesthetic. Straight lines, the grain of hardwoods, charming brushed bronze pulls, three divided spaces in the top drawers... they're a wonderful find.
