The design was inspired by ancient Chinese bird-shaped pouring vessels, combining playfulness with understated elegance.

Dimensions: height 15 cm, width 16 cm, depth 10 cm.

The vase rests on a pierced pedestal and features a hollow body with an opening at the top. While originally conceived as a decorative object, it also functions beautifully as a small ikebana flower vase (as shown in the photo). Its dark, lustrous surface has an archaic, almost metallic quality that harmonises beautifully with flowers or greenery.

On the underside, a kiln mark is impressed, attesting to its origin and craftsmanship. The piece is preserved in perfect condition and comes with its wooden tomobako (storage box).
