Large Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) vase base from 1961 hand-painted by a Royal Delft master painter, lovingly transformed into a table lamp by Amitābha Studio and paired with a new pleated yellow silk shade.
The ribbed Delft Blue and White baluster body depicts a single peacock among flowering shrubs, bordered by finely executed lappet and pendant motifs. Royal Delft, founded in 1653 and the last surviving 17th-century Delftware manufacturer, is world renowned for its blue-and-white ceramics.
