The piece was made in the early 1900's, likely the 1920-30's. As you can see, the dog looks very detailed and has a life-like resemblance (only miniature). The fur is presented wonderfully, and I adore the pose, as it looks like the dog is on the move with one leg lifted, tail positioned straight out and musculature shown. Just a really lovely piece! And functional! It's perfect for holding doors open, and looking pretty while doing it! See less
