The "Bersagliere" and the snake is a modern artwork realized by Gabriele Galantara (1865-1937) in 1908. Watercolor, tempera, ink and pencil on paper. Hand signed on the left margin. Good conditions and aged with foxing. Gabriele Galantara (1865-1937) was a journalist and one of the leading Italian caricaturists and cartoonists. ''The Donkey'' weekly magazine published in 1892 of which Galantara signed the illustrations, met the favor of the public. The aim of the satire were episodes of political malfeasance. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
