A lovely antique circa 1910-20s English silver plated cocktail shaker made for a Royal Mail Steam Packet Company passenger steamship. Engraved on the front with Royal Mail’s seahorse logo, and their Latin motto “Per Mare Ubique” (everywhere by sea).
In very good condition for its age with minor signs of use but no big dents or repairs, just a few small bumps to the lid and the base edge. It has polished up beautifully on the outside, with a little bit of wear to the silver plating where the body and the lid overlap, probably from years of being pushed together and then pried apart, and a bit of copper showing through at the very bottom inside.
