The pieces have a vibrant, amber flame color that has a very unique opaqueness to it. You can see each figure is heavily detailed and in excellent condition. The Emperor boasts dragons motifs and figures, while the Empress is protected and embellished by phoenix's. They represent the yin and yang of Chinese culture and the imperial majesty of their ancient rulers. The figures are mounted on a wooden base. See less
