Set of two petite table/desktop Replogle "Satellite Visions" Globes (ca. mid-1990s, USA).
Each globe is composed of a nine-inch orb featuring gores over cardboard with equator tape mounted to a plastic semi-meridian supported by a solid maple wood base. The map artwork is derived from satellite imagery, in this case both summer and winter, provided by Worldsat International Inc. of Canada.
Variations in color and seasonal representation; otherwise, both globes are identical.
Scarcely seen examples no longer produced -- the trademark registration for “Satellite Visions” was originally filed in 1993 and again in 1995, but cancelled in 2003.
Very good, vintage condition with only light patina/traces of wear.
