A fine Japanese red clay vase from the 1930s with a dragon encircling it.
The vase was molded with a design of a dragon flying in the clouds. The clouds are represented with a stippled texture. It has a key fret molded border around the lip and a shallow cut out foot.
The vase has no hallmarks or labels.
MEASUREMENTS
7 in (17.8 cm) tall x 4 in (10.2 cm) diameter. Weighs 1 lb 1.1 oz.
CONDITION
Other than a few small chips just above the foot. (See photos). Otherwise, there are no damages.
A nice vintage vase with a very detailed dragon. The red color will really stand out in a room.
