The metal features a rich patina, showing a well lived life on this half-a-century old box. The relief sculpted box features Japanese characters, and a large dragon spanning the top. The sides are adorned with bamboo and other botanical motifs. The interior is lined with wood, perhaps cedar. "Made in Japan" is stamped below.
