Giovanni MALESCI
The sheep herd, 1927
Oil on wood panel
22 x 33 cm
This work of Giovanni Malesci represents a sheep herd, in a bucolic context, with nature on the background. His master was Giovanni Fattori, and Malesci is one of the most famous successor of
the
"Macchia" painters. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
