A handcrafted stoneware teapot by Oregon ceramicist Gil Harrison of Perkins Creek Pottery, Cottage Grove. This unique, vintage piece showcases Harrison’s mastery of form and glaze, with a speckled, earth-toned surface finished in flowing green and brown ash glazes. The organically shaped spout and sculptural lid handle add character, while the braided natural fiber handle provides a rustic, functional accent.
The base carries Harrison’s impressed studio mark, affirming its authenticity. The interior is fully glazed for functionality, making this piece as practical as it is decorative. Its wabi-sabi character reflects the influence of Japanese pottery traditions, interpreted through the lens of Pacific Northwest studio craft.
