1961 MCM cast iron 'S' base Dansk candlesticks designed by Jens Quistgaard. This is a beautiful set of five cast-iron candleholders with a black patina and brass accents. All candleholders are stamped "Denmark".
This iconic design is included in the authoritative book on Jens Quistgaard by Stig Guldberg (see picture above).
He also designed a drip-free taper candle with a long burning time for his candleholders. A box of 12 candles is included. Candles are 16 inches each.
This grouping is a rare MCM find.
