The leather retains its original character, showing an aged, well-used surface that enhances the desk’s authenticity and appeal. The desk features a classic arrangement of nine drawers – three to each pedestal and three across the frieze – all finished with original brass ring pulls and working locks (key not included). The drawer construction, with hand-cut dovetails, attests to its 19th-century craftsmanship. Each pedestal stands on a plinth base, offering strength and stability.
