ABOUT
An antique Royal Standard typewriter with nickel and black keys with gold letters. The space bar and the carriage function properly. All the keys strike properly. Metal pop up ribbon covers. Serial #KHM14-81439.

DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1938.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Steel, Metal, Nickel.
CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. New ribbon. The "x" key sticks sometimes.

HISTORY
The Royal Typewriter Company was founded by Edward B. Hess and Lewis C. Myers in January 1904 in a machine shop in Brooklyn, New York.
