Late 19'th to early 20'th century Asian style display cabinet. the original doors are no longer with the cabinet. The two outer bays are open without shelving and the middle has one upper shelf that is permanent. There are three drawers beneth suggesting it was used as a scholars study. The decorative elemts show pierced fretwork with the center section show heavily reliefed foliage,.characteristic of the late Qing dynasty or early Republicn period. The three drawwers have lion mask pulls with rings and gilt brass inlay.
The upper corners have carved mythical beast foo dog type finials.

The wood has started to shrink from age and there are areas where the panels on the side have shrunk so some light can be seen. the cabiner=t is extremely sturdy and well made. There are three brass hooks on the back to hang the cabinet on the wall, we will add a fourth. ( we believe one has fallen off) less
