KPM was commissioned to create an extraordinary procession of about 17 figures, two on the backs of an ox or horse, and the others walking, often semi-nude or nude. This figure of an Asian man carrying a fish captures the human figure in all its beauty and sensuality. Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (or KPM) was famous for the high quality of its porcelain art ware, and its plaques are now highly sought after today. The full set of processional figures is on display at the Bröhan Museum in Berlin, Germany. See less
