Set of 10 mid century modern dining chairs in jacaranda and beige linen, made in Brazil in the 1960s.
Blending elements of the Cantu Alta by Sergio Rodrigues and the Model 422 by Arne Vodder, these high back dining chairs feature bowtie stretcher bars and sleekly tapered legs. Both the front and rear legs extend slightly above the upholstered portions, providing a sense that the seats float within the frames.
The design is distinctive yet versatile, blending well with Scandinavian, American, and Brazilian mid century modern aesthetic.
We sourced this set from a prominent Los Angeles dealer who imported extensively from Brazil, with a focus on pieces by Jorge Zalszupin.
