This is a matted French perfume advertisement print for Christian Dior's perfume, Diorella. It is original to 1981 and NOT a recent reproduction. Diorella's bouquet of fragrant fruity and sweet scents was fresh and natural and spoke to Dior's clientelle. And illustrator, Rene Gruau, captures the spirit of the fragrance. The creative friendship between Christian Dior and the Rene Gruau was a collaboration which celebrated a special spirit which continued for many years, even after Dior’s death in 1957. Gruau’s breathtaking use of bold color and strong graphic lines enhances the allure of Dior’s fragrance. Signed by Gruau with his iconic "g" initial. This image captures the essence of an iconic fragrance as well as the spirit of a creative genius. Measures 8.5 x 11.5 inches in size.
