An 18th century French Aubusson handwoven wool verdure tapestry. Beautifully detailed scenic landscape in shades of brown, blue and green. Wooded foliage surround a pair of swans and chateaux in the distance. Decorative border. Rich color, but in rustic restored condition with old restorations. Reduced in size and stitched together (see photos of back). Back has rings stitched into the top and a Velcro border added to the perimeter. Rod and clamps shown were only used to hang the tapestry for the purpose of photographing. Circa 1720-1750
