Produced in the mid-20th century in the Qing revival style, these monumental vases were possibly custom commissions for hotels, embassies, or grand private estates — settings that demanded both scale and opulence. Palace-size vases of this scale — over six feet tall — are extremely rare on the market. While smaller famille rose vases are relatively common, examples of this monumental size with gilt elephant handles and elaborate figural and floral decoration are seldom available outside of major estate collections. Their combination of scale, condition, and decoration elevates them well beyond decorative porcelain into the realm of statement architectural objects, justifying their placement at the top tier of the market.

Across each vase are richly decorated scenes of dignitaries in palace interiors, alternating with vignettes of exotic birds and insects among flowering branches. All motifs are executed in the traditional famille rose palette and set against a floral-strewn ground heightened with gilding.
The tall trumpet necks are flanked by a pair of applied elephant-head handles finished in gilt, adding grandeur and sculptural presence.
